Join us for a continuing education workshop entitled, “The Dysphagic and Respiratory Compromised, and CPR” on Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at our Waltham, MA office. The speaker will be Kenneth R. Brooks, EMT, who has over 20 years of experience as a licensed paramedic. He has been teaching CPR and AED for over 10 years.
The program will consist of a presentation of diagnostic criteria and strategies for treatment of cardiovascular disease, cardiac arrest breathing and choking episodes found in clients with communicative disorders. Information concerning choking and breathing problems will be provided, and practice will be given in CPR for adults, children, and infants.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss and identify choking and respiratory difficulties.

Communicative Health Care Associates is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This program is offered for 0.2 CEUs (Intermediate level: Professional area).
There will be a $69 per person course fee for this program, which includes a supper served at 5:30 P.M.
